Habitat’s DeConstruct Services team will come prior to your remodel or demolition and remove qualified items, including appliances, kitchen cabinets, exterior and interior lights, windows, doors, vanities, molding and more. The removed items will then be taken to a local Habitat OC ReStore in Santa Ana or Garden Grove where your reusable items will become someone else’s treasure! By recycling your items you allow someone else to benefit. And, because proceeds from items sold through the Habitat OC ReStores are used to build more affordable homes, you also offer a hand up – not a handout – to hard-working local families searching for a decent home they can afford.

How does DeConstruct work?
Working with Habitat’s DeConstruct Service is easy. Here’s how:
1. You call 1-866- 4DeConOC (866-433-2666) or send an email to deconstruct@restoreoc.org with photos of the materials you would like to donate.
2. Our DeConstruct Services team will meet with you to review your project and set a date to remove or pick up your items.
3. DeConstruct team members remove your donated items and take them to one of the Habitat OC ReStores to be sold.
4. You get a tax deduction letter for your donation.
5. You help the environment by having your items reused and kept out of the landfill.
